2026 Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS

The 2026 Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS is one of our favorite compact couples' floorplans here at Ruston RV. It combines a spacious rear bathroom, slide-out living area, front walk-around queen bed, and dual-axle construction in a lightweight, easy-to-manage travel trailer.

At just 22' 5" long and with an unloaded weight of approximately 4,418 lbs., the 192RBS is an excellent choice for couples who want to keep their trailer compact without sacrificing comfort. The slide-out opens up the main living area, while the large rear bathroom provides considerably more space than you'd typically expect in a trailer this size.

And this isn't just a compact couples' trailer with the basics. Coachmen has packed the Freedom Express with features that make a real difference when camping, including dual Azdel composite sidewalls, aluminum-framed construction, a heated and enclosed underbelly, tankless water heater, 15,000-BTU A/C, and a 10 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator.

A Small Trailer That Feels Much Bigger Inside

The slide-out is one of the biggest reasons the 192RBS works so well. Once the slide is extended, you get a surprisingly spacious main living area for a trailer measuring just over 22 feet long.

The comfortable sofa with a freestanding table provides a great place to relax, enjoy meals, watch television, or unwind after a day outdoors.

Up front, the dedicated walk-around queen bed means you don't have to convert your seating area into a bed every night. It's a practical layout that gives couples separate areas for sleeping, relaxing, and cooking without needing a much larger trailer.

Front Walk-Around Queen Bed

Another feature that really separates the 192RBS from many smaller travel trailers is its dedicated 60" x 80" walk-around queen bed.

Unlike corner-bed layouts, you have access to both sides of the mattress, making it much easier to get in and out of bed.

Coachmen also includes its Freedom Vaulted Bed Storage, providing additional storage underneath the mattress for larger items and camping essentials.

Compact Size With Dual Axles

The 192RBS is a great option for couples who want the benefits of a tandem-axle trailer without moving into a much larger floorplan.

With an unloaded weight of approximately 4,418 lbs, it offers a practical balance of manageable towing dimensions, stability, and interior comfort.

At only 22' 5" long, it's also easier to maneuver into campsites, navigate smaller campgrounds, and store compared to larger couples' trailers.

Built With Quality Construction

One of the biggest reasons we like the Freedom Express lineup at Ruston RV is the way Coachmen builds these trailers.

The 192RBS features Alumicage aluminum-framed construction and vacuum-bonded laminated walls with Azdel composite material on both the interior and exterior sides.

Azdel is a great alternative to traditional wood-based wall materials because it's lightweight, moisture-resistant, and won't rot.

You'll also find a 3-inch aluminum-framed floor with plywood decking, a fully walkable roof, heated and enclosed underbelly, and a fiberglass front cap with an automotive-style windshield.

Kitchen & Outdoor Living

Inside, the kitchen includes a 10 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator, microwave, stainless-steel sink with pull-down faucet, and plenty of cabinet storage.

The kitchen offers everything you need for preparing meals at the campground while keeping the main living area comfortable and functional.

Outside, you'll find a 14-foot power awning with LED lighting, propane quick-connect, pass-through storage, and an exterior griddle with a side table.

These features make it easy to enjoy your time outdoors while still having all the conveniences of a fully equipped travel trailer.

Why We Like the 192RBS at Ruston RV

The 192RBS packs a lot of comfort into a very manageable size. You get a slide-out, spacious rear bathroom, walk-around queen bed, dual axles, and a fully equipped kitchen—all in a trailer measuring just 22' 5" long.

What really makes the Freedom Express stand out is its combination of dual Azdel construction, aluminum framing, quality materials, and thoughtful interior design.

For couples upgrading from a smaller trailer, first-time RV buyers, or anyone looking for a comfortable travel trailer without the added length and weight of a larger unit, the 2026 Coachmen Freedom Express 192RBS is a floorplan we think is definitely worth seeing in person.
