RV TIPS & TRICKS

Take a Wine Region RV Tour

As fall harvest time winds down, hit the road for an RV road trip through Canada’s top wine regions. From BC’s lower mainland to Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, check out some of these RV trip ideas.

Okanagan Valley Wine Region, BC

Canada’s second largest wine producing area, and a popular RV destination year-round, the Okanagan Valley wine region is a great camping destination for wine enthusiasts. You’ll find a great selection of wine tours available with door-to-door (or should we say, RV park?) service, so you can set up camp, and then relax and tour vineyards as someone else does the driving for a change.

Fraser Valley Wine Region, BC

Although often overshadowed by the larger Okanagan Valley wine region, the Fraser Valley is home to a growing number of wineries. If you’re in the Langley area, check out the self-guided Circle Farm Tour, with stops including local wineries, craft cheese, farm shops, and more. Convenient RV parks include Fort Camping in Fort Langley, or Eagle Wind RV Park in Aldergrove.

Niagara Peninsula Wine Region, ON

One of the most celebrated winemaking regions in Ontario, the Niagara Peninsula offers iconic wineries, small, artisanal wineries, and everything in between. Each weekend in November,  Niagara-on-the-Lake area wineries celebrate the season’s bounty with Taste the Season.

Prince Edward County Wine Region, ON

On the shores of Lake Ontario with more than 40 wineries to sample, Prince Edward County is cluster of small hamlets and villages rooted in farming and agriculture. Enjoy the beautiful beaches, delicious wines, and one of the local RV parks, like County Shores.

Eastern Townships, QC

Travel through hills, valleys and picturesque villages of Quebec’s Eastern Townships along the Brome-Missisquoi’s Wine Route. 60% of Quebec’s wine production occurs within this 140-kilometre long marked circuit!

Annapolis Valley, NS

Award-winning wines call Nova Scotia home, with more than 18 wineries and vineyards to sample. Just follow this route for the ultimate Annapolis Valley food and wine tour.
